Prem Rawat, known to many as Maharaji, has travelled the world for more
than three decades, inspiring people to find peace within.
Born in India, he started speaking to audiences at age three and gave
his first public address when he was only four years old. At the death
of his father, Maharaji accepted the responsibility to spread this
message of peace. Though he was only eight years old, he immediately
began attracting large audiences of interested people.
When he was 13, he was invited to speak in London and Los Angeles. Since
then, over 9 million people in 50 countries have come to hear his
message of hope and peace. His talks are translated into 70 languages
and broadcast worldwide. He founded The Prem Rawat Foundation which
promotes his message of peace and spearheads significant humanitarian
initiatives around the world.
Maharaji is simply motivated by his wish to help as many people as
possible find peace within themselves. He does not receive any financial
compensation or remuneration for his appearances, from the sale of the
materials created from his addresses, nor from any of the organisations
that promote his message.
Maharaji introduces the possibility of finding peace within and offers a
practical way of doing so. He offers inspiration and guidance in this
ongoing process.
