Enjoying Participation

It can be really enjoyable supporting Prem Rawat's work by volunteering to participate in activities that happen locally, nationally or internationally.  Service Area Managers (SAMs) have been trained to help volunteers access service opportunities more easily and smoothly and ensure that they have a rewarding experience.  Volunteer activities are checked out by a SAM to make sure they have a clear purpose and genuinely contribute to Prem Rawat's work, that skills are matched to needs and that projects are realistic in terms of the time and commitment they require from volunteers. So all the volunteer has to do is to join in and enjoy the experience!

What sort of help is needed?

There are various projects going on all the time.  Anything from communications, web design and management, publications, finance, human resources and information systems, to staging live events which includes productions (media, sound), seating, ushering and catering.  As well as helping with administrative tasks, mail outs, data entry, data analysis, translations, design and editing, research projects, painting, sewing, carpentry, and many, many more. Some volunteer activities may last for an hour or so, and others for 6 months or more.

If you want to volunteer

Volunteer opportunities are posted on this website and www.volunteer.wopg.org.  You may also find opportunities presented at local meetings or at events with SAMs.
If you see an opportunity that you have the skills for and that you feel you would enjoy, follow the directions to apply through a SAM.
Whether you volunteer for a long-term or short-term project, the SAM will arrange to check back with you occasionally to make sure things are going well.

If you would like to volunteer to be a SAM

SAM trainings are held regularly worldwide. They last for 6 days and contain recorded input from Prem Rawat, plus training exercises from a facilitator. Attendance is self-funded and anyone who has received the techniques of Knowledge can apply to attend. For further information email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
